Tirta Empul is a Hindu Balinese water temple. It’s considered as one of the most important pilgrimage sites on the island where locals come to perform a purification ritual to cleanse their souls and ward off evil. According to the belief, the waters in the springs of Tirta Empul are holy waters and possess magical powers that can bring a sense of inner peace, mental clarity, good health, and luck. There are three pools in the temple, two of them are accessible to visitors for ablutions known as “melukat”, and the third one is meant for special ceremonies. The first pool filled with green algae and small colourful fish is believed to be the elixir of eternal youth. The second pool is divided into three sections with a certain number of holy spring fountains in each. Each of the fountains represents a different blessing. Lovina is a quiet coastal area of Bali located in the northern part of the island. Air Panas Banjar hot springs, located near Lovina beach, are among the best Bali’s hot springs. Being set in the midst of the lush jungle it’s a complex of three pools surrounded by a beautiful tropical garden. The water with a temperature of about 35-37 ℃ spews into the pool out of carved stone nagas’ mouths (semi-divine deities, half-human half-serpent).
